Installation Of Bishop

The installation ceremony for Rev. DR. Robert Langat was done on 16th January 2011, at the grounds of Kenya Highlands Evangelical University. The ceremony was presided over by the Retired AGC moderator the Rev Jonah Cheseng’eny. Thousands of Christians from various denominations attended the ceremony.
The Bishop and his family accepted the new role as the Bishop of the Africa Gospel church. His speech was mainly focused on bringing the entire AFrica Gospel church together in this time of transition.
He said that he is ready to learn from the elders of the church , who have since Retired on the best ways of steering the entire denomination.
Rev. Lang'at becomes the 5th Bishop of the Africa Gospel church. He was the Provost of Kabarak University before the national church council of the Africa Gospel church elected him as the Bishop.
WGM, President Hubert Harriman gave an inspiring sermon on Leadership. The partners of the Africa Gospel church gave their congratulatory messages and promised to continue working closely with the church.
The Retired President, Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi, who was present at the ceremony challenged the church leadership, to provide true servant leadership in this time of transition. Others who were present included the Vice president, Kalonzo Musyoka, Deputy Prime minister , Uhuru Kenyatta, suspended Higher education minister , William Ruto, ministers Porghisio, Hellen Sambili, Frankline Bett, MPs Charles Keter, Isaac Ruto, Bejamin Langat and Kiema Kilonzo.
Others were the chairman of Kanu Gideon Moi and its secretary Nick Salat.

Installation of Assistant Bishop
Rev. David Maritim is now the Assistant Bishop of the Africa Gospel church. He replaces Rev. Paul Leleito who has retired from church leadership. The installation ceremony was conducted by the Bishop of the Africa Gospel church at Immanuel Africa Gospel Church, kericho.
Rev. Maritim and His family accepted the new role as the Assistant Bishop of the Africa Gospel church and promised to work together with the Bishop with a unity of purpose.
